In this message, Tim takes us on a journey through Scripture, from the fall of Lucifer in Ezekiel 28, to the foundations of creation in Job 38, to the dedication of the Temple in Chronicles. Along the way, a remarkable pattern begins to emerge. Whenever the glory of God is revealed, the natural response of heaven and earth is worship. Songs erupt. Shouts of joy break forth. Creation itself responds to the beauty, majesty and presence of God.
This helps us understand why there is so much contention over music and over worship.
At the centre of this message is the understanding that Lucifer’s fall was ultimately a glory problem. Created to reflect the glory of God, he instead attempted to possess it for himself. Yet God’s purpose has never changed. The earth is still destined to be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
Tim explores what this means for us as a local church and for the wider body of Christ in our region. While every church carries a unique part of the Kingdom assignment, there are moments when God highlights a particular responsibility. For us, that responsibility is not simply to run programmes or gather crowds, but to become a people who actively pursue, host and contend for the manifestation of His glory.
This message is both a revelation and a commissioning. It calls us to lift our eyes beyond church as usual and see worship, prayer and gathering together through a different lens. When we come together, we are not merely attending a service. We are opening the gates for the King of Glory to come in.
Because God is jealous for His glory. The land is groaning for His glory. And the Church is called to partner with heaven until the knowledge of His glory fills the earth.
